The split week model – theory and practice go hand in hand

With its split-week model, iba offers an innovative concept that closely integrates theory and practice and is therefore valued by students and cooperating companies alike. Every week, our dual students study for 20 hours at one of the twelve iba study locations (or on the virtual campus) and work for 20 hours in their respective partner companies (with exceptions in the Applied Therapy Sciences – Physiotherapy and Applied Therapy Sciences – Occupational Therapy programs).

Theoretical knowledge and management skills can thus be directly applied to solving business-related problems. This means that dual students are continuously and intensively involved in operational processes and decision-making from the very beginning.
