Enrolment Fee

International students pay an enrolment fee of 200 € for the evaluation of their higher education entrance qualification by the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts.

Compensation

Typically, dual students are paid a monthly salary by their partner company of approx. 200–500 € per month, depending on the programme*** and the company.

***Please note this does not apply to the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy programmes in semesters 1–6!

Living Costs in Germany

Living costs in Germany are relatively low compared to those in other European countries, although there are strong regional variations. In general, students require approximately 950 € per month to cover living expenses like rent, food, clothing and transportation. Students often receive discounts at events and cultural venues (e.g. cinema, museum, concerts, swimming pools etc.), when they show their student ID.
